     At this time of year our Gingko tree is loaded with pretty little leaves. They make a delicate, ruffly pattern I enjoy painting. Soon they will turn bright yellow and fall, covering our yard with yet another beautiful pattern.

     I have spoken of the Gingko in earlier posts. It is a remarkable tree. (I think it possesses magical properties.)

     A very tall Red Point Maple grows in my yard. It is a joy to see it in all its colors throughout the year. As I observed it last year I was charmed by the small branches of colorful leaves. So pretty just hanging daintily and slowly changing day by day. 

     It sure drops a thick layer of leaves in the winter.

     At our old house we had a plum tree. I painted it sometimes. I found some old pictures of the tree and here was this little plum snugged in behind the leaves. I like its plummy color next to the green leaves.

      Here is a landscape although it is a scene by the ocean. That little strip of blue sea cannot qualify it as a seascape, can it?

      Landscapes, seascapes, they are a favorite. I live in a beautiful place. I wish I could paint it better. My landscapes often fail. (I mean really often.) It is funny that I have not given up on them.
